School – Montpellier – France – 2021 – Ongoing

Cité scolaire Françoise Combes.

This project is a collaboration with the landscape manager Vincent Lamur for the secondary and high school, la Cité scolaire Françoise Combes, in Montpellier.

The garden, nestled in the courtyard of a 19th century building, mimics the rhythms of the surrounding architecture, reflecting its symmetry across a central axis. In contrast to the rigid borders, the plantings have been curated to create a sense of open air and permeability in a tapestry of textures throughout the seasons. The plants are dought tolerant and have been selected for their success in the local climate.
